Grizzly Bear Egg Cafe #71: "The Idiot Test" starring Clayton Morris and Mike Quackenbush and special guest Sade
Feb 25, 2010
In this episode of The Grizzly Bear Egg Cafe Mike and Clayton craft a plan requiring all Americans to pass an idiot test before they're allowed to participate in society: voting, shopping, owning pitbulls, etc. The guys have both picked up the new Sade album and chat about the pros and cons. Meanwhile a couple of big sci-fi stories broke this week so Clayton and Mike rundown the headlines. Clayton talks up "Shutter Island."

HeyMike,
Semi new listener, so not quite sure where you are located. But I do believe it is nationwide that the Post Office offers a P/U service if you just schedule something. You can do electronic postage (some of them even come with a free scale) and you can just arrange for it all to be picked up and leave you free of idiots. Also, you might check into FedEx Ground to see if they are comparable as well, where they can P/U from you as well or just go to any Kinko's and drop your stuff off there or in any FedEx Office or FedEx Box or FedEx truck. Hopefully that makes your life much, much easier. Hope this helps.
Great show guys, just finished 70 and 71. Congrats on the new sponsor and the new listeners. As someone who's listened for at least the last 50 episodes new fans can be assured for a treat every week. I found myself chuckling several times today on the bus with people giving me odd looks afterward.
Also Clayton a few episodes ago you mentioned that you might watch Babylon 5, well if I get some spare time in the next few weeks I'll try to email you a short episode guide to the show because there are quite a few episodes you shouldn't even bother watching (mainly half of season 1 and most of season 5).
Mike...
I posted my orig comment half way through your show. Now having listened to the end I know you are in Philly, so please don't think me an idiot because I didn't know. I fear your and Clayton's loud and booming dissembodied voices.
Aaaagh!!!

Hey guys:
This is my pit-bull history and it’s from México, this uncle of mine use to have this pit-bull dog called batman (cuz it kinda had racoon eye patches), and he was like the family shepherd dog, my uncle having a ranch with cows and and sheep, well long story short, this one day he left the ranch alone only to find, when he came back 3 dead cows, I guess he found out that when the second breed name is "shepherd" it's for a reason...
oh and you may wonder how batman killed this half a ton animals, he kind of wrap his mouth around the bulls' mouth thus asphyxiating them, go figure.
I'm currently living in Canada, been listening for a while now, keep up the good job, oh and by the way, the reason I listen the bear is because references from your body Jim Harold, I do believe most of your Spanish listeners came from that way, so thank him.

Props to you guys for the success of the Grizz from an original Egghead. Quack, I'm getting amped up for what could be my first trip to a CHIKARA show in Taylor, Michigan. What do you think of a fan wearing a CM Punk shirt to a CHIKARA show? (Kidding, of course.)
PitBulls are bred in the U.S. with the sole and specific purpose of killing other dogs.
