#94 "In The Attic" -- The Grizzly Bear Egg Cafe

In this week's episode of The Grizzly Bear Egg Cafe, Mike and Clayton rummage through their parents' attics to uncover some hidden treasures.  Clayton concocts a brilliant business scheme to turn back the hands of time.  Mike laments the amount of free time he now has on his hands ever since leaving the Amish community from whence he came.  All that and so much more in this episode of The Grizz.

Maybe you shouldn't go all the way with the "time shifted child from the 80's" experiment unless you don't want him to have any friends, but you can be moderate at it. I have a 3 year old daughter, and apart from the modern kid's stff (Backyardigans, Imagination Movers and the like) I got her a lot of good series and movies from my own childhood in the 80's: Duck Tales, The Gummy Bears, the classic Winnie the Pooh episodes (she's a girl, so I guess Mask, Transformers and GI Joe will have to wait for a while, maybe forever).

The trick is that I try to watch everything with her, re-enjoy the old stuff, and at least be aware of what all those new shows are about even if I don't always like them. That way we can really bond and have a great time talking about the new shows along with "dad's shows" that she also likes a lot (I think she's a bigger fan of Duck Tales than I was, because she watched the whole Golden Sun arc 3 or 4 times in a single week).

I like to think she's having as much fun as I did back then, and then some more.

Cool Show Today - First time listener- I noticed that Clayton retweeted my tweet last night regarding the kids meal. I am going to setup two kids meals side by side. One from a major chain restaurant and one from a natural restaurant. I will keep you posted. Keep up the great work and information. @brentpohlman
