#123 "Lying to Our Hair Stylists" - The Grizzly Bear Egg Café
Feb 22, 2011
This Grizz is back this week with a plot to take over the world, well at least bring peace to the world. The guys talk about hiring a band of mercenaries, like the A-Team, to bring down the likes of Col. Muammar el-Qaddafi and Osama Bin Laden. Who's with us? Clayton and Mike also chat about finding a new place to get their hair cuts. Mike likes to lie to each new stylist he meets. All that and so much more in this week's episode of The Grizzly Bear Egg Cafe.

The more I learn about Mike Quackenbush on this podcast, the more I'm thankful he's in a business like professional wrestling. The thought of him being out there, exposed to the general public, loose... is chilling.
When music first started moving toward digital, I was a staunch supporter of CDs. I like having a physical copy of things I purchase at least for stability. I had a gift card for iTunes once and bought a few albums, had a hard drive crash and Apple said, "whoop, sorry! One buy, one download!" But lately as more things move toward internet distribution, it seems more companies are willing to give you a little leeway in cases of catastrophic hardware failure. If they allow for replacements (as I think iTunes now does if that computer is connected to your account) or include re-downloading as part of an overall service, then that alleviates a lot of hesitation in switching over. A few weeks ago I was in the mood for a particular band, looked across the room at my CD rack where the album was, and went "nahh" and pulled up their YouTube channel instead. In closing, the internet is the tool of the Devil and will destroy us all.
I have seen actual employee's do the drawings at Starbucks. Sometimes I have seen a manager who no longer works at that store come by and draw the items on the board. It is possible that Starbucks Corporate sends out a drawing that want the advertisement to look like and then the talented ones at the stores have to draw it.
Clayton, I miss you talking to your buddy Ken. So much so I don't bother to listen to Day 6 anymore whenever Ken does actually manage to post something. But hey, family does come first.
There are about 5 podcasts I listen to all the time... you are definitely one of them. The others are Mac OS Ken, The Nerdist Podcast, Hypothetical Help. Feast of Fun.
